Corey and Sons: Soybeans

Soybeans are grown throughout the state of North Carolina in all 100 counties. However, the largest quantity of this crop is grown in the eastern part of our state.

Soybeans are used in food for humans, such as cooking oils and salad dressings. Soybeans are also used in animal feed. Perhaps one of the more trending uses for soybeans is for biodiesel fuel. These are just a few of the ways in which soybeans can be used to provide for our economy.

Corey Farms begins planting soybeans in late May and harvests the crop in late September. We use our own harvester to ensure that our crop is harvested on time, with precision, and of quality. Corey soybeans are sold to grain dealers who will then distribute this crop for a variety of usages.
