Clary Sage is a unique crop that is used for perfumes, colognes, detergents, and other fragrances. A large number of North Carolina farmers are growing sage due to its climate success in the area. Corey Farms began growing sage in 2013 and has experienced success with this dry weather loving crop.
Sage is planted in August and harvested in June. Before harvest, the plant will have eye catching purple and white flowers attached. Our sage crop is harvested using our own chopper machine, then it is transported to our vendor to have essential oils pressed out. Corey Farms looks forward to continuing to harvest sage in the future.
